Brig-Ayd 40kg hoist
This reliable and compact wheelchair hoist can be used to lift small mobility scooters and manual wheelchairs up to 40 kilograms or 88 pounds in weight. It has had particular attention paid to the design so a weak or elderly person can operate the hoist with ease.
The unique folding action of the boom and upright arm allows it be stowed neatly out of the way when not in use, and allowing the hoist to be fitted into the back of most vehicles, including hatchbacks, estates and saloon cars.
A mechanical interlocking system ensures that the lifting arm is always locked in the up position before the up/down control switch, mounted at the top of the main body of the boot hoist can be operated.
The mechanism of the wheelchair lift can be installed neatly to either the nearside or offside rear corner of the vehicles luggage or boot area for ease of operation and it is powered directly from the vehicle's battery, which is protected from overload by a fuse.
If you decide to change your vehicle and it is of a suitable type for this hoist then the hoist can be transferred to the new vehicle.
